This is an update on our previous bulletin below regarding the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law(“PDPL”). The PDPL was supposed to come into effect on 24 March 2022.
A Royal Order (no.51627) was issued on 18/08/1443H approving SDAIA's request to push the PDPL effective date to 17 March 2023.
In an announcement, SADIA encouraged all stakeholders to provide their comments and observations to enhance the PDPL in future consultations.
