Christian Both is a Partner in K&A’s Corporate practice, bringing nearly 25 years of legal experience across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Europe. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, competition law, and commercial transactions, advising multinational and regional clients on some of the most complex and high-value deals in the market.

Christian has extensive experience acting for clients across diverse industries, including chemicals, industrial manufacturing, heavy equipment, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, transport and aviation, energy and utilities, retail, and technology, media and telecommunications (TMT). His cross-sector insight enables him to deliver practical, commercially driven advice on both transactional and regulatory mandates.

Before joining K&A, Christian spent close to two decades at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Clifford Chance, where he advised on numerous cross-border corporate transactions and regulatory matters. He also brings strong in-house experience from his time with BASF and SABIC headquarters, providing him with a deep understanding of client-side perspectives and operational realities.

Christian holds the German First State Examination in Law (equivalent to a Master of Laws) from the University of Heidelberg (2001) and qualified as a lawyer, prosecutor, and judge in Germany (2003). He is enrolled with the Munich Bar Association and registered as a foreign lawyer with the Saudi Bar Association.

Christian is fluent in English and German.
