Senior Associate
Sarah is a Senior Associate in K&A's Dispute Resolution and Advisory practice, where she focuses on international commercial and investor–state arbitration. She represents clients in proceedings before leading international and regional arbitration institutions, including the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the Swiss Arbitration Centre (SAC), the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), and under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
Sarah advises clients across a broad range of industry sectors, including oil and gas, real estate development, construction and infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, and mining, with particular experience in shareholder disputes. Dual-trained and experienced across multiple jurisdictions, she has applied French, Swiss, English, Egyptian, Saudi, UAE, and Bahraini laws, allowing her to navigate the specificities of each legal system and tailor her advice accordingly.
Her practice also includes representing large multinational companies in investigative matters subject to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), most notably in the context of in-depth post-acquisition investigations of entities located in the Middle East. Sarah regularly liaises with governmental authorities in connection with regulatory matters and ongoing proceedings, and has acted on annulment and post-arbitration related proceedings before the French courts.
Before joining K&A, Sarah practiced with Magic Circle and U.S. law firms in Paris and Dubai, and gained valuable experience at a leading regional law firm in Cairo.
Sarah holds an LL.M. in Arbitration and Litigation in ADR from Paris II Panthéon-Assas; an LL.M. in International and European Business Law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne; an LL.B. from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne; and an LL.B. from Cairo University.
She is a native French and Arabic speaker, fluent in English, and has working proficiency in Spanish and Farsi.
