Her practice spans joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, foreign investment, corporate governance, and general commercial law, making her a trusted advisor to both government entities and leading private sector clients.

Basma is known for her ability to combine commercial pragmatism with deep legal insight, guiding clients through multi-stakeholder transactions, strategic investments, and regulatory approvals across various sectors.

She has developed significant sector expertise within the healthcare industry—including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and biopharma—as well as in retail, e-commerce, entertainment, family businesses, and hospitality and leisure. Basma has acted on several high-profile and innovative transactions in these areas, often involving complex ownership structures, cross-border elements, and multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks.

Basma holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Essex and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Comparative Commercial Law from SOAS, University of London.

She is dual qualified in New York and Saudi Arabia and is fluent in Arabic and English.
